What do you like about where you live now?

I enjoy the centrality and uniqueness of the location.

When and how did you start surfing?

I started surfing when I was about 5 years old, but I did not become serious about it until I was 10. My dad brought me out for my first few sessions then I usually surfed by myself. My mom would sit on the beach with my sister and hang out until I was done.

Where is your go-to surf spot?

Oceanside Pier, San Diego, California, USA

Please tell us about the surfboard you usually ride. Brand, shaper, dimensions, fin setup, etc.

I usually ride my 9'2 Zelzy. It's a board I shaped using a template from a 1954 Velzy Jacobs pig. The template is pretty narrow at 22 1/2 and I make my personal boards very thin at about 2 5/8. The rails are beautifully foiled so the board is fast, loose, and great for turning.

Where are your favorite surf spots that you've been to?

East Coast, Panama, and random waves in Northern California.

Where are the surf spots you want to visit in the future that you've never been to?

Restaurants, Tavarua, Fiji and Pavones, Costa Rica

Zack Flores in the Theo Trunk, is my favorite because the waves were so fun, and perfect for my favorite type of longboarding. It is a video that makes me want to surf.
