Surfer Trevor Gordon Playlist & Interview 38 Videos ・ Last Updated: Dec 15 2023

Hello, I'm 32, I live on a sailboat with my wife Maddie. I like to surf, sail, hunt, and travel. :)

Nickname: Memo and Willy

Born and raised: Santa Barbara, California

Stance: Regular

Sponsor: Mollusk Surf Shop

Where are you based now?

Santa Barbara, on anchor.

What do you like about where you live now?

Proximity to wild places

When and how did you start surfing?

I was about 8. My dad pushed me into waves here at a spot called Leadbetter. When I was 12, I really started to get more into it and it consumed my life, like most little surf groms.

Where is your go-to surf spot?

Rincon, California

Please tell us about the surfboard you usually ride. Brand, shaper, dimensions, fin setup, etc.

I ride mostly my own shapes. Toy Boat surfboards, I call them. Mostly 5'6'' or so twin fins, long fishes, shortboards and asyms, I try and ride it all.

Where are your favorite surf spots that you've been to?

India

Where are the surf spots you want to visit in the future that you've never been to?

P-Pass. Really excited to sail to some South Pacific islands.

Which do you like more, Air or Tube?

Tube

Which do you like more, Noseride or Maneuver?

Maneuver

Which one video would you highlight in this playlist and why?

"Camel Finds Water" or "So Dang Good"

Camel Finds Water was just a major passion project, an incredible learning experience and such an amazing trip. We didn't find the best waves, but that wasn't what it was about. So dang good, just loved those sessions down in Mexico.

Who are the surfers that inspire you?

Tom Curren, Dave Rastovich, Dan Malloy, and Mason Ho

What are the surf films/videos that inspire you?

Any and all of Thomas Campbell and Chris Malloy films.

What are the films/movies that inspire you? (other than surf films)

Waterworld

Other than surfing, what are you passionate about?

Sailing is probably the thing that I spend the most time tending to. Sailing is a blast, but it's everything that goes into it that is more of a way of life. In recent years I've really loved bow hunting for deer and pigs here in Ca.

Who are your favorite bands and musicians?

The Beatles crew, probably. Big country music fan, jazz. Can't nail any down any favorites.
