Surfer Caio Teixeira Playlist & Interview 20 Videos ・ Last Updated: Sep 20 2023
Caio Teixeira was born and raised in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, and is the son of Telmo Moraes (1952-2018), one of the greatest collectors of surfboards in Latin America and founder of the Cabo Frio Surf Museum. The Museum collections include over 2,500 items spanning 100 years of surf culture from all over the world. Having grown up in the cradle of surf information and stories, he was always surrounded by vintage boards and surf-related memorabilia curated by Mr. Moraes; initially at home and later at what became the Museum. Caio has been a certified instructor trained by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBS) for over 15 years. He participated in several professional competitions, becoming the Brazilian Open Champion, Brazilian Professional Runner-up, Carioca Tournament Champion, Rio de Janeiro State Champion and obtained important results in international events such as the 3rd place at Mexilog Fest and Latin American Champion. For 7 years, Caio Teixeira has been gaining more and more popularity in the world of surfing with his hand-shaped boards that color the blue waters around, which follow the traditional concepts that were used in the golden years of surfing in the mid-50s/60s/70s. With his boards and big smile, Caio continues to share his passion, the craft and history of surfing to everyone.
