Filmmaker FULL MOON SURF CLUB (JD STROUD) Playlist & Interview 40 Videos ・ Last Updated: Jul 10 2024

Full Moon Surf Club started as just a candid observation of the surfing happening around me. I never intended it to turn into anything really. Everyone I film with is a good friend of mine, I'm not trying to be another guy with a camera out there just trying to get Instagram clips of pros to get more likes. I want it to feel authentic and real and feature my friends who all rip and who the rest of the world hasn't seen or heard of yet. The music is the most important part of every film I've made, it has to work, and most of the time I know a song I'm going to use before I even start filming and I'll sort of edit the film in my head as I'm shooting. I'm excited that I've received the amount of positive attention I have so far, I honestly wasn't expecting any of it. My goal is to just keep this all as organic as possible and keep doing everything the same way I have been. Fun Fact: I hate tripods and shoot 100% handheld.
