My name is Oscar Valencia, I'm a guy born in the Basque Country, near San Sebastian, I'm 40 years old and I've been filming and editing for a few years now. I work in a surf store called Pukas, and I work as a filmmaker for several surf brands, such as RVCA and Vans.

When and how did you start surfing?

Well, I started when I was 13 years old, but until I was 18, I didn't take it too seriously...

Dane Reynolds, Mikey February, Eithan Osborne, Ethan Ewing, Stephanie Gilmore, and Kael Walsh.

Where are your favorite surf spots that you've been to?

Keramas, Guethary, Coxos Beach

Where are the surf spots you want to visit in the future that you've never been to?

Jeffreys Bay and Pipeline for sure.

Which type of surfboards and fin setups are you into?

I've been surfing for many years with three fins, but lately, I'm really hooked on Twins, asymmetrical and different boards.

Which one video would you highlight in this playlist and why?

DÉPLACER LE SILENCE is a video that I really liked to make and I keep a lot of affection for it because it is a video a little different from what I usually do.

What cameras and lenses do you use?

RED RAVEN with 24-105 and 150-600mm lens and analogic 16mm Krasnogorsk-3.

When and how did you start filming?

I started filming snowboarding with my friends around 2010 or so, and then I started surfing solo around 2017.

I like to watch skate and snowboard videos for inspiration.

Who are your favorite bands and musicians?

I like all kinds of music, it depends on the moment and for what, as well as for editing. But I love David Bowie, Pixies, and Sonic Youth.
